Specialising in artisan gelato and bringing the Italian tradition of bringing people together through delicious food, Katherine is passionate about creating beautiful experiences with her customers through each touchpoint of the Lemon & Zest brand. 

At the forefront of the Lemon & Zest ethos is a focus on community connection, and the importance of celebrating life’s special moments however big or small.

With humble beginnings in her Nonna’s kitchens…

Katherine’s love for baking was ignited from a young age after spending time cooking and baking with her Nonna’s on the weekends and in school holidays. 

Drawn to the meditative aspect of using your hands to create something special, combined with the beauty and depth of the Italian culture, Katherine was sold on a career in baking and started as an apprentice pastry chef when she was just 16. 

After over 8 years of experience, working in multiple patisseries and restaurants, the same things still ring true; her love and passion for creating from the heart and sharing it with the world is what inspires her each day. 

What once begun as small home bakery has since grown into a successful Gelato Cart business, which has ignited a deeper passion in Katherine, sharing in others joyful events and being witness to love, joy and connection.
